It is still a month of Spring where everything is blooming and looking pretty; and I was inspired to paint some cherry blossoms, flower of Spring. Did you know that cherry blossom is the symbolic flower of Spring in Japan? And because of the cherry blossoms are only lasted for 14 days, The Japanese would use the two weeks to have some picnics under and around the Sakura trees; enjoying the beauty of the blossoms. Yes, Sakura is cherry blossom in Japanese. I love the pink shades of the cherry blossoms, it is so beautiful! I painted the cherry blossoms in watercolor. The great thing about painting with watercolor is that you can get a vulnerable soft look you wanted very easily, like cherry blossom.
