Things To Prepare

I should add some lotion to the list of supplies to make this jute coaster with seashell; because you will need the lotion applied to the surface where you glue the jute. But basically, you will only need some jute and seashells to do this coastal project. Here are the short list of supplies you need to prepare:

  • Jute (burlap threads)
  • Seashells
  • Hot glue

How To Make

It is a simple and easy DIY Summer Nautical theme to make. These steps below are to make this nautical jute coaster with seashell :

  1. Apply some lotion to a smooth surface to be used as a working base, glass or marble table would be great.
  2. Pour some UHU glue in round shape to the working base.
  3. Adjust the jute into circular shape and keep adding the glue step by step until the jute circle reach the radius you desired. Mine is around four inches (10 cm). Remember, from inner to outer!
  4. Before you cut the jute, do a little circle as an accent. Let it dry.
