Father’s Day is near! This weekend is surely a time to show some love to Daddy. A little gift with a big thought plus a handmade present to Dad on Father’s Day surely will brighten his day. I have this quick idea of a Father’s Day gift, a DIY mini gift basket. A handmade basket with some of Daddy’s favorite treats will bring a smile to his face. It’s actually very easy and quick to make, so it’s perfect for last minute Father’s Day Gift.
Things To Prepare
Basically you would only need some flat nylon rope, the rest are the things you would find at home. Let’s see what are the short list supplies that are used to make this DIY Father’s Day Mini Gift Basket :
- Flat nylon rope (black and white)
- card paper
- UHU clear glue
- Black marker
- Black metal paper clips (or you can also use cloth pins)
- A mini box as a shaper
How To Make
It’s an easy Father’s Day Gift to make in such a short time. Don’t forget to prepare your dad’s favorite treats and follow these easy steps on how to make DIY Father’s Day Mini Gift Basket :
1 . Take a mini box you can find at home. The sizes of the box is up to you, it depends on how many snacks you want to put in the mini basket for your dad. Cut the black nylon rope into a length where it can wrap the box. Prepare it for 2 ways of wrapping. Look at the second picture.
2. Make a webbing on the base of the basket. Then clip all the flat rope on top.
3 .Now, start to do webbing along 4 sides of the box. Glue the end of the rope and the start of the rope. Then remove the box out of the basket and glue the top flap rope to secure the webbing.
4. It’s time to cover the top side of the basket by gluing a white flat rope around it.
5. And last, take a card paper, write “Dad’s” on it by using black marker. Now glue the card paper tag onto the front of the mini basket.
6. Fill the mini basket with your dad’s favorite treats. to look nice, get the snacks with similar colors. Like mine. I use red color theme to contrast the mini basket.
Such a cute gift to make for your dad. I’m sure dad would love it and enjoy the treats. Moreover, he still can use the mini basket to store his small things and stay organized. I hope my DIY mini gift basket for dads can help you with this week’s Father’s Day.
